dean burmester

Dean Burmester is a South African professional golfer.

Burmester was born in Zimbabwe but represents South Africa in golf.

Burmester plays on the European Tour; where he was won twice, and the Sunshine Tour; where he has won eight times, including the 2015 Golden Pilsener Zimbabwe Open, the 2017 Tshwane Open and the 2021 PGA Championship. He also won the 2021 Tenerife Open.

Moosa grew up in Grassy Park and has three siblings. He attended South Peninsula High School until 1994. His sister is a doctor, his Indian-born father is an orthopaedic surgeon, his Cape Town-born Malay mother is a GP. Since he was a child, he wanted to do medicine.

Moosa spent three years training in magic and became a silver medallion graduate of the College of Magic in Cape Town. He started his comedy career as a comedy magician^[4] and he was presented with the Comedy Magic award at the Center for the Magical Arts in Cape Town. His future in magic was terminated when somebody doing flash photography illuminated the wire across the stage where his magic orb was floating.

Moosa then spent six years training in medicine at University of Cape Town Medical School and did his internship in hospitals near Thokoza in Gauteng, at Groote Schuur and Khayelitsha in Cape Town. In 2001, he graduated from UCT Medical School. He is a qualified medical doctor and GP. He then worked for three years as a doctor.

shabnim ismail

Shabnim Ismail is a South African cricketer who made her debut for the national women’s team in January 2007. A right-arm fast bowler, Ismail is South Africa’s all-time leading wicket-taker in both the One Day International and Twenty20 International formats. She has earned a reputation as one of the fastest female bowlers in the world, with her top recorded speed reaching 128 kilometres per hour (80 mph).

In July 2020, Ismail was named women’s T20 player of the year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards ceremony. In January 2021, Ismail became the fourth bowler to take her 100th wicket in WT20Is. In February 2021, Ismail was named the Women’s Player of the Month in the first edition of the ICC Player of the Month Awards. The following month, during South Africa’s tour of India, Ismail became the first bowler for South Africa to take 150 wickets in WODIs.
