ANNABELLE BOND

Annabelle Bond is a British socialite, international adventurer and activist who came to prominence after climbing the summit of Mount Everest on 15 May 2004, making her the fourth British woman to do so.

In 2005 she became the fastest woman and fourth-fastest person to ever climb all Seven Summits, when she climbed them in 360 days. Her televised climb of Everest portrayed her as the glamorous blonde who brought her lipstick to the summit of Everest.

On 17 June 2006 Bond was appointed an OBE (Civil Division) for services to mountaineering and to the Eve Appeal.

BRYAN HABANA

Bryan Habana is a South African former professional rugby union player who initially played as an outside centre but later, he shifted to the wing. He most recently played for Toulon in the French Top 14 competition, and for the Springboks.

Habana was part of the South Africa team that won the 2007 Rugby World Cup and was one of the stars of the tournament, his eight tries equalling the single-tournament record set by Jonah Lomu in 1999. He was subsequently named the 2007 IRB Player of the Year. During the 2015 Rugby World Cup Habana equalled Lomu’s career record of 15 tries in World Cups. He is in second place among all time test try scorers, with a total of 67 tries

DRUMMOND MONEY-COUTTS

Drummond Money-Coutts, also known as DMC, is an English magician and specialist card shark. His first professional performance came in 2000 while he was still at school, at the Royal Horticultural Society.

In 2007, Money-Coutts travelled with Tom Lyon to Kenya to film Kenyan Conjurations: the School Built By Magic. It was produced to raise funds to build a primary school on the Kenyan coast.

In 2013 his first television special Card Shark was aired worldwide on the National Geographic Channel. Later that year, his second mainstream television series, Beyond Magic with DMC aired which saw him travelling to various destinations around the world including London, Barcelona, Mexico City and Singapore and performed illusions on the streets along with card tricks.

In 2018 Netflix released a series created by DMC titled Death by Magic. In the 8-episode series, Money-Coutts visits “Magic Acts” that have in the past been known for causing the death of the performer.

SIR CHRIS HOY

Sir Christopher Hoy MBE is a former track cyclist and Racing driver from Scotland who represented Great Britain at the Olympic and World Championships and Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.

Hoy is eleven-times a world champion and six-times an Olympic champion. With a total of seven Olympic medals, six gold and one silver, Hoy is the second most decorated Olympic cyclist of all time. Between 2012 and 2021 he was the most successful British Olympian and the most successful Olympic cyclist of all time. In 2021 he finally ceded both records to colleague and rival Sir Jason Kenny. His seventeen global titles across four disciplines makes Hoy the most successful track cyclist at the global level of all times.

STEVEN LINDSEY

Steven Lindsey is a retired U.S. Air Force officer and NASA astronaut. Lindsey served as Chief of the NASA Astronaut Office from September 2006 until October 2009.

Lindsey was selected by NASA in March 1995 and became an astronaut in May 1996. Initially assigned to flight software verification in the Shuttle Avionics Integration Laboratory, Lindsey also served as the Astronaut Office representative working on the Multifunction Electronic Display System program as well as on a number of other advanced upgrade projects. In between his first two flights, he worked as the Shuttle Landing and Rollout representative responsible for training flight crews and testing orbiter landing techniques and flying qualities.

As Chief of International Space Station Operations for the astronaut office, he was responsible for integrating astronaut, civil service, and contractor activities and providing support to all aspects of the development of the International Space Station. He later became Chief of the Astronaut Office.

STEPHEN WAUGH

Stephen (fondly know as Steve) Waugh is an Australian former international cricketer and twin brother of cricketer Mark Waugh. A right-handed batsman, he was also a medium-pace bowler. As Australian captain from 1997 to 2004, he led Australia to fifteen of their record sixteen consecutive Test wins, and to victory in the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Waugh is considered the most successful Test captain in history with 41 victories and a winning ratio of 72%.

Steve was named Australian of the Year in 2004 for his philanthropic work and inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in front of his home fans at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 2010.

Steve Waugh has been included in a list of one hundred Australian Living Treasures by the National Trust of Australia, awarded the Order of Australia and the Australian Sports Medal.
