CECIL AFRIKA
Veteran sevens player Cecil Afrika is the all-time leading Blitzbok scorer in the World Series with 1 462 points. The experienced playmaker left the South Africa team after the 2020 World Series and has played for Monaco in the professional Extenso Super Sevens league, as well as a stint in the USA before making his return in 2022 to the Blitzbok for the Rugby World Cup Sevens.
CORNÉ KRIGE
Former Springbok captain, Corné Krige made his Western Province debut in 1996 and eventually went on to captain the side, leading the team to back-to-back Absa Currie Cup titles in 2000 and 2001. He was clearly a man destined to lead, as he captained his high school First XV, every single WP representative side from Under-13 to senior level, as well as the Stormers and finally the pinnacle of his career, the Springboks.
LUCAS RADEBE
Lucas Radebe is a South African former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He began playing in South Africa with Kaizer Chiefs, before transferring to Leeds United, where he played 256 matches for the Yorkshire side. During his spells at these clubs, he picked up the nicknames “Rhoo” and “The Chief”. He became captain of Leeds United and also of the South African national team, most notably at World Cup 2002. He also captained Kaizer Chiefs during his time at Chiefs.
MTHOKO MADONDA
Mthoko Madonda, a former captain of the South African Men’s basketball team holds a degree in Psychology and a MBA from London Southbank University in London. He has spent over 20 years in the Sport for Development space and designed and implemented global leadership programmes. He is also a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer & Supervisor
NATALIE DU TOIT
South African swimmer Natalie du Toit is best known for the gold medals she won at the 2004 Paralympic Games as well as the Commonwealth Games. She was one of two Paralympians to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and became the third amputee ever to qualify for the Olympics, where she placed 16th in the 10K, “Marathon”, swim.
SARAY KHUMALO
Saray Khumalo is an award-winning South African mountaineer and the first Black African woman to summit Mount Everest and ski to the South Pole. As a leadership and transformation coach, she focuses on women executives and entrepreneurs. Saray is also a global keynote speaker and founder of the NPC Summits With a Purpose, which uses mountaineering to raise funds to promote literacy and education by building physical and digital libraries in disadvantaged schools.
