ANDRE ARENDSE
Andre Arendse made his debut in 1991 for Cape Town Spurs and later played professionally for Oxford United, Fulham, Santos, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United.
He represented South Africa 67 times having made his debut in 1995, was part of the squad that won the 1996 African Cup of Nations and was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Andre retired from his international career in 2004.
He retired from football in 2009 winning the Premier Soccer League title with SuperSport United. In May 2013, Arendse returned as an emergency goalkeeper for Bidvest Wits. This made him the oldest player in PSL history surpassing the previous record set by Bruce Grobbelaar.
Since retiring from football Andre has been assistant and goalkeeper coach for Bidvest Wits, a co-presenter with SuperSport and is the current Supersport United Goalkeeper Coach.
CALEB SWANEPOEL
Para Athlete Caleb Swanepoel made a remarkable recovery after losing his right leg to a shark when he was in his first year at UCT.
He returned to the water two months later and has since excelled at surfing and swimming, winning his division in the International Surfing Association Adaptive Surfing Championships. As a swimmer, he qualified for Western Province and has competed in the last three national championships. In 2018 he won medals in the long-course and short-course championships.
Caleb is also a motivational speaker and aspires to act in productions of Shakespeare’s plays in the UK. He is also actively involved with Jumping Kids, a registered non-profit organisation which focuses on introducing and coaching children with disabilities to various sports.
MOHAMMED MOORAD (Mo Magic)
Mo Magic is the performing name of South African magician, Mahommed Moorad. As a child, he saw his brother perform magic and in high school he learnt and performed a few basic effects. Years later his inquiring mind led him to delve into the art of magic. This fascination soon grew into a hobby, then evolved into a passion.
Qualified with an honours degree as an electronic engineer, Mo Magic had a lucrative career whilst at the same time being sought after to perform at private and corporate events across the country. He recently celebrated 13 years as a Full-time Entertainer & MC and Mo’s show “Mo Magic Live” is currently on ShowMax.
Mo has shared his magic with audiences locally and internationally which includes a performance in Hollywood at the home of Actor Gerard Butler. He astounds intimate audiences close up and captivates larger audiences on stage with his world class magic.
