SUNÉ LUUS
Momentum Proteas captain and all-rounder who hails from Pretoria made her international cricket debut in September 2012 at the age of 16 and has gone onto represent South Africa in 100 One-Day Internationals and 83 T20 matches, while also featuring for the Titans Ladies in domestic cricket and for sides in leagues around the world.
Luus has taken 156 wickets in both formats, while scoring over 2 500 runs in 142 innings.
As the captain of the Proteas heading into the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, Luus lead the team to five wins during the campaign to help guide them to a semi-final finish in New Zealand.
GRÉGORY CZARNECKI
Born in France to parents who were gourmands, Gregory Czarnecki was destined to end up in the rich world of food. He spent most of his childhood travelling the world and spent more than a decade working in and about France where he gained valuable experience in Michelin-star restaurants before moving to South Africa 13 years ago.
As head chef at The Restaurant at Waterkloof, he won the coveted Chef of the Year award from Eat Out in 2016 and served as a mentor for the prestigious S. Pellegrino Young Chef competition in Africa and the Middle East, and his French heritage is carried intelligently and creatively in his food.
Grégory was a judge on the fourth season of MasterChef South Africa recently seen on our screens.
LIONEL MAPOE
Lionel Mapoe is a South African rugby union footballer. He plays mostly as a centre or winger and played for Stade Français in the Top14 in France, the Lions in Super Rugby, the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup and the Golden Lions XV in the Rugby Challenge from 2011 to 2019, having previously played for the Cheetahs and the Bulls on loan for the 2013 Super Rugby season.
His professional career began at the Free State Cheetahs before moving to rivals across the Jukskei, where he represented the Golden Lions and amassed over 100 Super Rugby caps for the Lions. Mapoe has represented the Springboks and played for national Sevens, Under-20 and SA ‘A’ sides.
Now playing for Vodacom Bulls as a centre, his wealth of experience and expertise will no doubt be beneficial to the success of this team.
